Community Engagement Training

The CIRCLE Framework, along with eight practical strategies, was developed by Dr. Wilson to better implement ethical and effective community engaged participatory research. This work was published in Environmental Science and Policy which you can read here.

  • Dr. Wilson developed a novel framework called CIRCLE, along with eight practical strategies, in order to conduct ethical and effective community engaged participatory research. She has also won several awards for her community engagement work. This framework can be applied to all forms of community engagement, not just research, such as building community programs and collaborations. In group trainings and private research consultations, you will learn the components of the CIRCLE framework, eight strategies for implementation, examples of successful community engaged projects, and discuss how to best apply this new knowledge to your community engagement work.

  • Group trainings are available for lab groups, organizations, and companies looking for guidance on their community engagement work.

  • Private research consultations are also available for scholars looking for guidance on conducting community engaged research projects.
